This competition is played on an All Weather hockey pitch at Garryduff Sports Centre in Rochestown. The hockey pitch is completely surrounded by a 25 foot high net. Each 7 A-Side pitch is 25 meters wide and 60 meters long. The pitches are separated by a three foot high net and there is one meter between the sidelines on adjoining pitches. Showers and changing rooms are also available.

Match duration is 60 minutes and the total cost for the season is 795 euro, including VAT. The competition is played at 6.00 on Wednesday evenings.

The matches are seven a-side with unlimited substitution. No more than four men are allowed on the pitch at any one time. Goals scored by girls count as two. There is no limit on squad size. Each league has eight teams, with each team playing the others two times for a total of 14 matches. The matches are refereed by fully qualified referees and each team gets a match ball.
